Grace Space, Decora & Root + Reach provides mats, blocks, straps, bolsters, blankets etc. for your use. Please clean any props you use after class. You are also welcome to bring your own mat and props if you prefer. Other essentials not provided by the studio you should bring / wear:

  • Water Bottle – Stay hydrated before and after class, especially for active styles like Vinyasa.

  • Comfortable Clothing – Wear breathable, stretchy clothes that allow full movement.

  • Layers (Optional) – A light sweater or socks can keep you warm during Savasana or meditation.

  • Open Mind & Positive Energy – Approach your practice with curiosity and mindfulness!

To create a welcoming and peaceful environment, please keep these guidelines in mind when arriving for class.

  • Arrive Early – Aim to arrive at least 5-15 minutes before class to settle in and prepare. The studio door will be shut a few minutes prior to class, and will not be able to let anyone in.

  • Respect the Space – Keep voices low to maintain a calm atmosphere, especially if a prior class or meditation is finishing.

  • Set Up Mindfully – Place your mat and props with care, being mindful of personal space and studio layout.

  • Limit Distractions – Silence your phone, remove shoes, and store personal items in designated area outside of the studio.

  • Be Present – Use the extra time for gentle stretching, breathwork, or quiet reflection before class begins.

If you need to leave the studio after class has begun, please do so with mindfulness and respect for others.

  • Exit Quietly – Move discreetly to avoid disrupting the instructor and fellow students.

  • Minimize Distractions – Roll up your mat gently and gather belongings with as little noise as possible.

  • Respect the Flow – If possible, wait for a natural pause in the sequence before leaving.

  • Mind the Door – Open and close doors softly to maintain a peaceful environment.

  • Inform the Instructor (if possible) – If you anticipate needing to leave early, let the teacher know before class begins.

  • Respect the Closing Moment – Allow space for final relaxation (Savasana) to conclude fully before packing up.

  • Clean Your Space – Wipe down any mats or props you used and return them neatly.

  • Exit Quietly – Maintain a calm and peaceful atmosphere for those who wish to stay and meditate.

  • Be Considerate – Avoid lingering in the practice space; social conversations can continue outside the studio.

  • Gather Belongings – Double-check for personal items to keep the space tidy for the next class.

If you'd like to use an adjustment SY wood chip, grab one before class.

Place it at the top corner of your mat or tuck it under your mat if you would prefer no adjustments and at anytime during the class based on how you feel.

No explanation is needed, your choice is always respected.

Your safety and comfort are a top priority. If you have an injury or require modifications, here’s how to ensure the best experience in your yoga practice:

  • Arrive Early & Check In – If possible, reach out to me before so I know about your injury or any limitations before class begins. This allows me to offer guidance or alternative poses.

  • Listen to Your Body – Honor your limits and take modifications as needed. Yoga is about tuning in, not pushing through pain.

  • Use Props for Support – Blocks, straps, blankets, and bolsters can help make postures more accessible and comfortable.

  • Skip or Modify Poses – Feel free to rest in Child’s Pose or another comfortable position if a movement doesn’t feel right.

  • Avoid Painful Movements – Yoga should never hurt. If a posture aggravates an injury, choose a gentler variation or opt out.

  • Ask Questions – If you need specific guidance, I'm happy to help with adjustments or alternative posture suggestions.
